This mobile-friendly learning course empowers visitors at Caballero County Parks to make safe decisions when hiking in hot, dry conditions.
Learners explore safety topics through engaging scenario-based challenges, interactive tools, and visual storytelling. A custom HTML "water fill" interaction simulates real-world hydration planning by letting users "pour" water based on randomized trail conditions.
Custom JavaScript and HTML/CSS elements embedded through the Mighty plugin enhance this Rise course with interactive character cards, a reverse hotspot symptom-checking activity, and dynamic visual feedback.
I used Google Docs to storyboard and script each scene, generated original character illustrations and visual assets using AI-assisted design tools, and built the course using Articulate Rise with Mighty for customized interactivity and theming.
